Quick question about what I should say in a letter

Hey y’all.

I applied ED a while ago and a representative told me over the phone that I can send a letter to the admissions office about some new honors I’ve received since I sent in my application (I got selected as my school’s sole representative for the All-State Honor band and I made first chair in our All-County Honor band).
But I was wondering if it’s a good idea for me to mention something about how Brown is my first choice/I’d absolutely go if accepted/etc. in my letter. I was planning on tacking on at the end a line of gratitude for their consideration of my application, but would it be a mistake for me to mention something like “Brown is my first choice and I would be honored to contribute to the Brown music program/scene/whatever if accepted”?
I really want to try to emphasize my interest in Brown in whatever way I can, but would saying like that come across as, like, begging or something?

If the main purpose of sending this letter is to update your application, then I think it is fine to tag a few lines about why Brown is your first choice at the end. I did the same sort of thing when I got deferred.

If you’ve applied ED, they already know Brown is your first choice. List your new awards, say “thank you,” and sign off.
