compared with comparative lit R1A, how is the difficulty of 60AC or Eng 31AC?

i got a 5 in AP english lit (which frees me from the R&C requirement), would R1A be too easy for me?
I would like to take 60AC or English 31AC, since they satisfy the AC requirement and one breadth requirement, but are they too hard for a freshman? I've read somewhere that upper division courses are really hard for a freshman to take.

Oh, and is it possible to take History 7B without taking 7A?

Neither of those classes is upper division.

Seems like an area of some confusion based on several different posts over the last few days.

Lower division = undergrad, freshman or sophomore
Upper division = undergrad, junior or senior

All courses from 001 to 099 are lower division.

All courses from 100 to 199 are upper division.

All courses from 200 to 299 are graduate, then there are profession and PhD above that.

Anything with a number like 60AC is lower division.
