Quick question RE: Ivies and financial aid

Alright, this is probably a stupid question, but are all the Ivies need-blind when it comes to their transfers? I know that at least some are, but some are more explicit than others about it...Thanks in advance!

Can someone please give me a little info on this? Thanks.

I hate to do this, but bump...

Brown, for sure, is not. I don't think Columbia is either.

HYP are...not sure about Dartmouth. And I believe Cornell is.

But if you're international, the rules change a lot.

Actually, the weird thing is, when I called Brown and asked them, I was told they were need-blind. However, on their website, it says "financial aid is limited", which seems somewhat paradoxical. I think this could have affected the transfer rate for last year, if they were in fact need-blind.

I do remember, though, someone on here (maybe nspeds?) saying the transfer rate was higher for students who didn't opt for financial aid. Take it with a grain of salt.

Best of luck :)

Twenty - that's the info I got (from their website) and I also recall reading somewhere that it is easier for students not asking for financial aid to be accepted as a transfer than those requesting it from Brown...
