<p>I feel really, really dumb, but what does DD or DS mean? I can assume that D means daughter and S means son, but I just don't understand DD or DS!</p>

<p>That's right. It is computer talk. However, I remember writing real, snail mail letters to my mother back in the Stone Age when I was in college and signing them "yddd" for "your dear darling daughter." Guess I was just ahead of my time! :)</p>
