<p>My M once said the same thing. She didn’t see how her S could B so lazy to only write single letters.</p>
<p>S D and H are fine. I still can’t figure out what DS, DD, or DH mean. I keep trying to think (Is DS the same as Daughter’s Son? Why not just say Grandson, or G/GS?)</p>

<p>When I first came to this forum, I thought dd = daughter’s daughter = granddaughter and was amazed that so many grandparents were posting >.>;;</p>
<p>Because the cognoscenti know using those abbreviations is the essence of coolness. :)</p>
