is the "no scholarship" an actual request for midyears?

i mean, is it official?

basically, when you call in to ask someone to check your file for you, will it be under there as a file they're still waiting for?

My daughter received both the "no scholarship" request for midyear and the specific request for midyear, she sent in her midyears on the web, and it is listed in her gateway as a document received.

Seriously, is it an official request?

My fall semester grades were not good, so I was hoping to not have to send them in until I was accepted.

There is no "request for midyear report" on my gateway "my admissions checklist"

and it shows:

Required (documents and information you need to submit)
None

Please answer!

i don't think it's fair for students to have to "assume" that a no scholarship letter is equal to a midyear request letter...if any college used such a system it probably would not work well at all b/c many people would not be aware that some letter was an official request for something else if it were not openly stated...so i think if they wanted your midyear report they would ask for it outrightly...jmo

the two letters I got both say "Please submit your grades".....so you probably should to be safe...

you can always call them and ask

I only got the "no scholarship" letter.

we talked about this alot on another thread. many of us are not sure if getting two letters means you are borderline, or they are very interested. just getting the no scholarship letter might mean they still really like you and don't need to send another letter. none of us on cc know for sure.....I always figure no news is good news!

Umm, what's the gateway and how do I get to it?
