quick question

Coed bathrooms : as weird as they sound?

haha. You get used to it. I don't go to Reed, but I do use gender-neutral or all-gender bathrooms all the time, and it's really not weird. If you went to some obnoxious state party school and there were kids doing (insert various sexual activities here) in the bathroom all the time, then it would be weird. Otherwise, get in, pee, and get out.

i dont think they are weird. there are stalls, and there are shower stalls as well. its kind of like being at home with your opposite sex siblings.

i visited my cousin at his college, where the bathroom i needed was wayyyy down the hall. he told me girls use their bathroom all the time, and i felt a little bit awkward walking in the first time with a bunch of boys in there, but after that it seemed alright.

If I have the hots for a guy, I don't want him to have knowledge of my bowel movements/menstrual cycle, which could inevitably happen during bathroom-sharing. sorry if that's gross, but it's true.

but like i said...there are stalls. how would he know if you were changing your tampon or whatever?

violet: Don't get hot for guys you live near. grin After all, when it breaks down, you'll still have to live near them. I strongly recommend inter-dorm dating, rather than the more incestuous form you're suggesting. Honestly, it's not just the bathrooms. When you have alternating dorm rooms, you end up knowing a lot more about your opposite sex dorm mates than just menstral issues.
