Quick Question

Hey everybody! I'm an incoming freshman at UT, but more specifically the McCombs School of Business.

My bro is starting 7th grade so I gave him my TI-83 that I had. But now I had a question about my calculator situation (not that it's really important).

I passed out of Calc and Physics so I don't need any calculator in that area. I was wondering if I needed a calculator for any business classes in the future and whether a TI-84 would serve that purpose. Or maybe there's just a special calculator out there that I'm not aware of that the business school recommends? Maybe I won't need one, or that good of a calculator?

I just wanted some advice before I spent 94 bucks, that's all, so I appreciate any info ya'll have. Thanks in advance guys!

For business purposes, the TI-84 does have the finance application, which helps a lot with finance courses. Not to mention you can add on other programs that'll help a lot with accounting and finance. Not sure what the policy is at McCombs, but at my old college (I just transferred) we couldn't use calculators with memory in accounting, but it didn't matter in my finance courses. So I have two calculators, a crappy one that just has the basic ones and my TI-84, which has been extremely helpful for finance. My opinion is that the financial calculators are confusing and the Finance app has a much easier interface. But again, i'm not sure what McCombs' policy is on calculators.
