If a school lists its Middle 50% SAT composite as 1990-2210, does having a 2250 make me "median material" or is my score sufficiently better than a large part of accepted students?

I don’t know why the school would list the middle 50% as a general range, when it should be smack dab middle 50%. I think 2210 is probably its 75% percentile range, what school are you looking at, maybe we can verify. I think 2250 is in its 75% percentile range.

yes, you would be above median. 1990 would equal 25%, 2210 = 75%, so you would be hovering around the 80% area.

don’t let this trick you into thinking you’re a shoe in for any school with those stats! I got flat out denied to 3 schools where i was in the top 5%
