really quick question

probably a stupid question but what does it mean when college's say their Middle 50% SAT scores are,for example, 660-720 for a particular section?? I really do not know much about statistics so if anyone wants to answer, that'd be great!

The middle 50% is just a statistical measurement. If all of the accepted students were lined up in order of their SAT score or ACT or whatever, the middle 50% would just be the range from 25th percentile to 75th percentile. If a school's range is 2000 to 2100, then 50% of the accepted students had scores in between 2000 and 2100, 25% had scores below 2000, and 25% had scores above 2100.

Don't be so relied on the lame constants...

The numericals do not actually measure the students' abilities.
