Good picks!

Salinas is good for psych. He has 5 tests and will drop 1 so if you’re ok with your average after the fourth test then you don’t have to take the last one. The last one is the final but it’s just like the rest, non-cumulative. The second test is the hardest and the fourth test covers the most material. It’s not necessary to go to class except for the second and fourth tests since he put some questions that were only said in class. All the rest of the test material is in the readings. There’s no real need to get paradigm notes for it. There’s no plus/minus grading. A B is really easy to get, very possible to get an A.

Have you gotten credit for BIO 311C? It’s a co-req/pre-req to be in BIO 205L. The lab is only worth 2 hours of credit but the lab itself lasts 4 hours once a week with a lecture also once a week (so you are putting in 5 hours of class time a week). You’ll need to read particular sections of the lab manual before lecture and before lab. Lecture will be taught by Dr. Allen and 2 other doctors and will have a 2-question CPS unit quiz each time. It’s really boring. The lab will start with a 5-question CPS unit quiz based on the reading. Be careful on these since it’s easy to fail. You’ll have a lab group to complete labs with and the experiments are somewhat interesting I think. Mine started at 9am and were hell sometimes when I was so tired but this is a class where everyone has to participate. Lab analysis from the previous week’s lab is due every time and those took a while to complete outside of class with my group (we procrastinated til Monday night and had lab the next morning. These could take sooooo long to finish so don’t do what we did!). Pay attention to how to do basic procedures that you use in several experiments as those will be tested on the practical. The lab practical is the final exam held the week before all the other final exams. You’ll have to do 3 hands-on lab procedures and some multiple choice questions. The questions are fine if you study past tests but they’re picky about the procedures.

Wow thanks for the quick response and detailed advice, i honestly apppreciate it. On a side not i do indeed have credit for both BIO 311C/D. Thanks again, I’m mainly concerned with ECON and CHEM :O

Anyone else know anything about these professors? Im on the waiting list for bronars for econ and sparks for chem

Bronars is retiring (I know, super bummer). Hickenbottom is picking up his class at Bronars’ time.

Are you a psychology major? Because PSY 301 is currently restricted to psych majors, unless you’re in a FIG that has PSY 301 as one of its classes. Otherwise, it looks great.

Cali are you sure Bronar is retiring? Where did you hear that from? I’m wondering because I’m on his waiting list and if Hicklebottom is teaching the class, I’m going to get off it and look for another teacher.

is there a better econ teacher? and yes im a psychology major
