I've seen that Reed in Oregon offers no-drugs dorms; does Oberlin have anything similar? How about dorms with quieter hours?

Yup, Oberlin has a substance-free dorm, [Barnard. It houses about 40 students, all of whom have committed not to use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco. The building is pretty nice and generally has a good community; I’ve heard this year’s RA is awesome. One of the student bloggers, Tess, lives there and has written about it](http://new.oberlin.edu/student-life/housing/housing-options/detail.dot?id=184228&buildingId=175053).

As for quiet hours, every hall votes on their own quiet hours (usually starting around 11 PM - 12 AM on weeknights and ending around 7 - 8 AM, shifted later on weekends). For people who want 24/7 quiet, there’s an official Quiet Hall in East.
