I’m a self-supporting female student considering attending Berkeley next fall on a full-ride grant, but if I did go, I would need to start budgeting and planning far in advance and get as many of my expenses directly covered by financial aid as possible (and ergo, this would probably mean living in campus housing.) This leads me to my biggest concern: I have a disability which makes my hearing extra hypersensitive. Picking up conversations and footsteps in neighboring rooms through earplugs is one thing, but a place with a lot of parties and social gatherings may not exactly be the best fit for me.
So I was wondering, which dorms have earned reputations as the most quiet and most study-serious on campus? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or insight you might be able to offer!
