Quietest dorms

Regarding the rooms in Eastview Terrace:
Are the rooms carpeted? If not, what size do you buy?
Is there a shower curtain?
Is the closet bigger than those in East Halls, or the same?
Should the bed still be raised?

Since my son is in East now, what are the differences that he needs to know before moving in?..other than the obvious…a single room with a private bathroom.

Thanks for any info

-The rooms are carpeted, so you don’t need to get any carpets. The floor underneath is hard as a rock though, so a small shag carpet could be useful.

-Yes there are shower curtains.

-I don’t know the exact specs of the ones in East (didn’t live there), but you can check the room layout specs on the housing website.

-The beds are already pretty high, and they’re adjustable, so I wouldn’t suggest raising it. Still possible though if you want.

-Obvious differences: people are much less…willing to make friends. I don’t know how exactly to put it, but a lot of people there either already have a group of friends and don’t feel like making more, or just don’t want to meet people to begin with. Basically, a lot of people are to themselves, whereas there seemed to be more camaraderie in East. Also, because almost everyone is an upperclassman, most people (at least the ones I’ve encountered) are much more mature and don’t really appreciate it when people make excessive noise.

Hope that helps.
