Transfer needs info on Single Rms at State College

My kid told me that he "won" the lottery and got a single room for next year. Where are the single rooms located? How big are they? Any special tips for things that he'll need, like a minifridge (his dorm room at Behrend came with a minifridge and microwave)? Thanks for any advice.

wow that is unbelievable, they are very hard to get and I am surprised that he got one as a transfer. They are in west, south, pollock, and in the new eastview terrace are the nicest ones, as they each have a private bath too.
They come with a microfridge. Once he finds out where he is he can see the room layout online.
Is he a Junior? I think Eastview is reserved for juniors and seniors and that would be the best place to have one as since everyone is in single rooms, everyone would have to make more of an effort to get out and meet others.

He's a Jr. He said it was in Eastview, so I guess he really was lucky.

Keep in mind that they are also the most expensive rooms on campus - $6500 to $6800 per year - compared to a regular single ($5000 per year ) or a regular double ($4000 per year)
And that does not include meal plan.
But, they are very nice.
