I got accepted into Computer Engineering...

Should I do South, Pollock, East?

Or maybe; South, Pollock, SLO?

Any suggestions? I don't want East or Supplemental.

i got accepted, but to smeal. from what ive read, west has the best food, but is mostly upper classmen. South i think was mostly sororities and stuff. IDK about Pollack. East is where all the freshman live, and SLO could be a bunch of different stuff, like for example, for business there is the BASH house and i think its like a 4 or 6 person suite rooms or somethin like that.

i, personally, am going to be deciding between SLO BASH house, and East Halls. From what i’ve read, East Halls has kinda small dorms, but seniors say its worth it because you will be able to branch out and network with so many groups of people during your freshman year, and I think thats something definitely to think about.

Would you rather be comfortable for one extra year, or have friends that will last throughout the four years, and beyond college?

Its a tough choice. Good Luck and ill see ya there if we both attend!

I thought freshmen were always paired with other freshmen, according to the “Where You’ll Live” section in the Living On Campus booklet. I just want a quite place.

freshmen always have another freshman for a roommate. if you’re looking for quiet, i’ve heard north is probably the quietest area

what living on campus booklet?

it came in the folder with your acceptance letter.

If you want quiet, you definitely don’t want east :-)

Another thing to consider: location-wise, east is the furthest away from most of the classroom buildings, so you’ll have to walk a lot (or take the bus).

Freshmen are always paired with other freshmen, unless you request a specific roommate who is an upperclassman.

ya ik that freshman are w/other freshman, i just meant that in the sense of being in a whole community of freshmen; not just dorm with one

I did my housing contract, do I actually submit it? Or does it do that on it’s own?

One engineering SLO (E House) is in West (McKee), which is close to the engineering buildings.

I thought there was one in East too. I think it was called Freshmen in Science and Engineering.

can some1 give me more info on North Halls? I was wonderin bc the Business and Society House is located there

Could be, RJabari.

The Freshman in Science and Engineering SLO is in east. Confirmed on the PSU housing website.

Anyone know how things would differ between East and the FISE SLO? In terms of someone who enjoys/doesn’t enjoy partying.

Hey. Does anyone know how the Discover House is supposed to be?

The freshmen in North are in 4 person suites, and share a bathroom with their roommates (not a whole floor!) I have seen them and they are sooo much nicer than the regular double dorms. I am in Smeal also and applied for BASH. really hoping to get in.
