I have a 3.3 gpa in high school (overcame health issues soph and junior year), taking college level coursework and have a 3.7 in 12 college credits; tons of volunteer and excellent community service awards, varsity sports, stellar recommendations, volunteer in health field...but SATs low (like 1000 - I just don't do well on them)!!! Do I have a chance for early decision - it is my top school -

I think your gpa is fine but your sat score is definitely lower than their average accepted… Try to take it again and see how you do!

You probably do have chance. SAT score is just one part of the application. Quinnipiac would love to have you.

THANK YOU for replying! I love Quinnipiac and am anxiously awaiting to hear during the early decision round!! Good luck to all!

Hello,

Oddly enought, I don’t know much about Qpiac. I live just one town over and don’t know much about it. I know that they have done some expanding… what draws you to the school?

I have visited several times, I love the nursing program, the campus, the ambiance, and I feel like I am right at home there. I have a few alumni and current students who also recommend the nursing program, as well as expressing how happy they are at Quinnipiac. It feels right for me, and I know I can be a successful student and nurse there. They also have masters level programs I am interested in. Keeping my hopes high for an acceptance letter soon!

Good for you! Good luck :)
