Hi, I am a newly admitted transfer student of EECS major. I am planing to take transfer edge as well which is basically the summer section. I am aware of the workload once I start the first semester.
Should I quit my part-time job in SF during weekend? Or just cut down the schedule to one or two days? Right now I work three-night shifts. It is just a restaurant job but do make good money..I don't have any income besides that job.
And, how many people are actually working a part-time job while attending Cal?
Need help~
All suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks.

Few people work off-campus. On-campus work is much more common. Off-campus and EECS? Very very few, for a good reason :-)

You probably want to quit your job, definitely reduce your hours. Can you quit at any time? If so, reduce your hours for the first few weeks and see if you can handle it. If it becomes difficult, quit it completely. Usually the first couple of weeks are pretty easy in terms of workload, don’t let it fool you. It’ll get more challenging once the semester goes on.

I wouldn’t have been able to handle an off-campus job in SF(!) with a full-time schedule.
