I’ve taken 3 years of spanish so far and I lost interest in continuing. I would like to take another language instead. Would this be a good idea? or should I just continue to Spanish 4?
It depends on what colleges you are targeting and if any of them ask for 4 years of a foreign language.
Check your colleges’ requirements. I would stick it out, though. “I lost interest” is an acceptable excuse for dropping ECs, but not so much when dropping a class.
I would continue if possible. There are some colleges/ programs that require 4 years to graduate. You don’t want to have to restart a language in college.
For college admissions, look at potential colleges you are interested in and see how many years they recommend. If you took Spanish 4, then you would be good for any college.
For interest in language, it is better to learn more in depth about one than to learn a little about two.
