Just a quick question, if someone from your school gets into Stanford, does that mean that your chances of getting in are lowered?

No. I asked the dean of admissions in person.

I asked, too. Same reply. Two people from my school were accepted EA. So, I was worried.

im pretty sure they have some kind of idea about how many people they take per region, but probably not school

Yeah, I've heard region over school. Although, overall, it's about 3-5 people yearly from the region I live in...

They take 2 people MAX from "normal" schools EA. This doesn't apply to extremely prestigious schools that get quite a few in EA. They will defer qualified candidates from the same school if they are already accepting 2 and then accept them in the regular round. Most schools do this for EA.

They take one from my school (EA+RD combined) usually. That's why so many people are out for my head because I got in EA. O.O

they took two from my school EA. they deferred 3-5 people, we had a total of about 25 apply for EA and i think a few more for RD. its a tough competition at my school.
