I have been accepted to Purdue University (West Lafayette) and Rochester Institute of Technology. Both colleges have awarded me very similar financial aid packages. I have toured RIT, and loved it, but have never been to Purdue. I also know that the student body at PU is almost double what it is at RIT. I am going into my undergraduate studies to get a BS in Physics or Physics focusing on Astrophysics (offered at Purdue). Both universities offer an Astronomy minor which I am interested in, and someone from RIT told me that I could even double minor in Astronomy and Chinese, which I want to learn. I am fairly sure this double minor option offered at Purdue too. The catch is, I live in Texas. I have close relatives in New York, and some that live in Rochester. If I went to Indiana, I would have no relatives who are very nearby. So my question is, which school will better prepare me to be an Astronomer/Physicist/ Researcher for NASA or another International Space Agency/Organization?
