We get thunderstorms but no rain yet today.
We finally got some rain, yay! It’s been a long time since we had rain in late June. Tropical rain, not jet stream rain.
Does the rain in Maine stay mainly on the plain?

Ha, no, it rains like crazy in the mountains. We love sitting in our cabin on top of a big hill and listen to it storm. All that water going into the 1000-gallon cistern in the basement. 
(yes, our cabin has a basement, named after my FIL, who told us if we ever built a cabin it needed a basement)

Pretty cold wet and dreary on LBI today, fun watching the waves though.

Plenty of rain. Generally within hours of me watering all my container plants. It’s been ridiculously cold. I wore long sleeves and a sweater most of today. It’s summer! We are at sea level! This is not Vermont, or even foggy Cape Cod.

I went to an outdoor gathering this evening. Even though I wore a jacket, I was chilly. The hostess ended up making coffee and tea to help us warm up. I don’t recall a June this cool.
