I'm a junior and I took the June ACT after completing my sophomore year and got a 30. My goal was a 32 at least but I'm pretty happy with the 30 because I wasn't expecting to do that well. The problem is that I didn't take it with writing because I didn't think I would come so close to my goal. So now I've signed up for the December test. My scores were E-35 M-25 R-34 S-25. I've taken practice tests and my reading and english scores are consistent with my actual scores. What I really need to know is how to raise the math and science scores. I'd be really grateful if anyone could suggest some tips or strategies. Thanks in advance.

Both of those are practice. You might have a knowledge gap in math. The topics are really limited for Math. At your score, I would check out your questions, see if they fall in a common theme (i.e., knowledge gap). Rape that theme. Afterwards, practice.

Science is really about timing. They’re glorified graphs. Learn to read weird graphs fast.

Thanks. I’ve noticed in the math that I’m fine with the algebra but anything containing geometry trips me up. I think it’s because I hated geometry when I took the class so I forgot a lot of the concepts. I’m in Pre-Cal now so I’ve had to relearn some of the geometry. Do you think that will help? I bought the PR book for the ACT. I think the practice tests in there should help me get better at reading graphs.
