**raising SAT Score's and more**

I did kind of bad on the PSAT's scoring a 1640. I got a 650 Math, 500 Critical Reading, and 490 in Writing. Thats with no prep at all. I plan on taking the real SAT's with a goal of around 2100. Is this possible with about 5 months to prepare? How hard is it to raise scores in each specific section? What books are the best for prepping? I have Barron's Reading,Math,Writing, Gruber's complete SAT 2008, and Kaplan Prep Course books. Will this do? Thanks

1640 to 2100? thats seems tough, but....anything is possible

Haha, I had the books you have (didn't read them -- too lazy), but hmm. An increase from 1640 to 2100, eh? It's certainly possible with study and practice.

I suggest just going through the Barron's workbooks. That oughtta increase your score by a bit. Remember, though, a 2100 is a very, very high score, so you'll really need to work at it if you want to get it.

Best of luck :)

Barron's 2400, Collegeboard's Bluebook, Grammatix.

Try to take the sample tests under conditions similar to the real thing; Sat am, no cellphone, ask one family member to be the evil proctor and one family member to sit next to you grunting and coughing the entire time. And study a lot of vocab.

its feasible
Im in the same boat as you brother. Im aiming for 1460->2100 in about 1 year. goodluck to both of us
