Random College Admission Questions

First off, has anyone heard of a Microsoft Word class, and if so does it look bad to take it in high school, because I took it in my Junior year. Another one of my questions include: is it bad to take just two years of foreign language if you're trying to apply to a UC. I am a senior and I took two years of MYP Spanish for my first two years of high school. Junior year i took no spanish classes. Would it help me to take just one more year of spanish, but not honors. Also would colleges notice that I didn't take honors because I was a wimp, or something. Ultimately, me and spanish do not mix.

As a fellow hater of Spanish, I can easily sympathize =]

If you took Spanish 1-2 Honors, you’d be best off taking Spanish 3 honors too. Otherwise it would look like you gave up.

However, Spanish 3 is really hard and after a year of no Spanish, it’s the last class you want to be in. Taking honors would just be stupid.

I think most of the UC’s only require 2 years of it.

That’s exactly what I was thinking when it comes to spanish that I am not up to date with my spanish, therefore would it look extremely back to just take two years of span. I also can’t think of a class to replace spanish 3 except another foreign language such as German 1, but will that look bad?

If you took German 1, you do know what wouldn’t give you 3 years of a foreign language, right? But go for it if you’d like.

Can you take Spanish 2 again?

I know German 1 wouldn’t count as a foreign language, however, I have never though of taking Spanish 2 again. What benefits would I have if I took Spanish 2 IB again?
