Just wanted to hear what some of you guys thought about his hiring.

Nothing against Edsall - as I’m still bitter at the University for their handling of Ralph - but this is the ‘business decision’ to go from ‘good’ to ‘great’?? Ralph had a solid run as any UMD FB coach and as an alum was treated like dirt from the outsider/new AD & new prez.

If O’Brien and others stay I think the Terps will be solid next year, but it will have nothing to do with Edsall. His test will be in the next 2-5 years when his recruits start playing. Ralph had a nice start at UMD as well with the solid players that were handed over to him. Maybe UCONN will hire Ralph!!!

Should’ve hired Leach. Edsall is a younger version of Friedgen - even a couple of the UMD players who talked to him the other night said he seems a lot like Fridge. Leach would’ve put people in the seats, and his offensive mind would have worked great with O’Brien and Co. But firing the ACC Coach of the Year to get the Big East Coach of the Year? What?

leach ftw… :(

I may get bashed, but I honestly thought it was not a bad hire. The biggest concern regarding Leach is the ongoing investigation. If there are things that come up in the future with the case and may get worse, there may be conflict. Annap, if Maryland does well, it is with Ralph’s players, not Edsall. It would be interesting if Edsall could get good recruits.
