It totally depends on what you want to do. If you have no desire to teach, then the MsEd is useless. But if you want to go into business, why would you get an MPH?

People rank the JDs, PhDs and MDs all the time. How is this thread any different? All I am asking is what is the degree's worth/value after you receive it.

Uhm, you really don't see the difference? People do rank Ph.D's, JD's etc but no one compares a JD with an MD or a Ph.D with a JD etc. You're trying to compare apples and oranges. And what do you mean by value/worth anyway?

Virgule, I have seen boards where people ranked JDs, PhDs, and MDs in this order: JD > MD > PhD because of time completed, overall value (salaries, etc.) and so on.

Overall value has much more than just a salary component. If you want to become a doctor, then why would you get a JD just to make more money in a shorter period of time?

It's silly to rank graduate degrees because they have very different end goals.

ok tenis...to be more clear: for me, only the MA, and possibly the MSW has any value. the others are totally useless. (FOR ME. PSYCHOLOGY. why the hell would i want an engineering degree? a GED would have more value.)
