I’m not saying I know for a fact that I’ll I even be considered a finalist, but I recently submitted my college ranks (2 schools) and I regret ranking my second choice. I’m not sure what I was thinking at the time. I was looking through the school’s requirements and saw that if I didn’t submit my requirements the school could choose to not match me. If I do this would it hurt my chances with the other school?
m assuming no because the other school won’t know which schools you ranked or in what position BUT don’t do it if anything ask QB to delete that second school very nicely or go ahead and submit the materials what if you are not matched and want to apply there RD anyway? it will be much nicer than if they know you blew them off on purpose also what if you don’t get into your 1st choice match or otherwise…you want to keep options open
@blink24 Thank you. I just don’t want there to be a possibility that I would HAVE to go to that school because even though it would be paid for, I could not see myself attending/living there for four years. I’m going to contact questbridge and see what they have to say.
Do you think asking them to remove it would effect them determining me as a finalist? @blink24
You can remove or rearrange rankings once you’re selected as a finalist but you can’t add additional colleges.
@beststressed yes if you really dislike it that much remove it! As long as you are polite and explain that you forgot to take it off no it really shouldn’t affect you… Your deserving status of finalist if it is so wouldn’t just go away if you made a mistake and you are also removing it before the college even gets your app which is after October 20th so I don’t think it would be considered rude…only do this however if you are positive you will never try to apply to them again because otherwise you are missing out on a chance
@olahpeeps really? I knew you could rearrange bur I didn’t know about removal! @beststressed in that case you won’t even have to ask QB to do it…just make sure to verify this on their website and you should be able to after you’re a finalist then
