I am applying UC San Diego and now ranking colleges. I wonder for physics major how to rank these colleges. I heard Revelle is better at physics, is it true? Or i should choose muir since it requires less GEs? but i am afraid that Muir is too pupular and so ranking it first will reduce my chance...

The way you rank the colleges in no way affects your chances for admission to UCSD. They determine acceptances before they assign the colleges. So do not let that be a factor.

Pick the college with the GEs you want to take. Revelle has a lot of science and math, but also has its fair share of humanities. Muir has very few GEs which are very lenient (meaning you have a say in what classes you take for your GEs).

Your major should not really affect how you rank the colleges (unless you’re an engineer), so here’s my list (applying as an Lit/writing major, but will likely switch).
Muir, Warren, Sixth, Marshall, Revelle, Roosevelt.

Thanks!
my list is: Muir, Warren, Revelle, Marshall, Sixth, Roosevelt
