I'm planning of doing engineering physics, and I love maths, physics (and chem) - nothing else academically. Which college would be best for me?

COLLEGE RANKINGS FOR UCSD
John Muir:1, Sixth College:2, Thurgood Marshall:3, Eleanor Roosevelt:4, Earl Warren:5, Revelle:6;

Which has the best quality of life, rooms?

If you want to be living with people who are in the general same major as you, Revelle is heavily for sciences and chemistry; Warren is for engineers. As for GEs, Revelle's suck the most, and Muir's are the easiest (I'm assuming that is the rationale for ^^).

As for best living, it's:
ERC > Marshall/Warren > Muir >>>> Revelle (these dorms suck) >>>>>>>>> Sixth (they're like shacks).

So, it's really your choice as to whether you want to be around people your major or whether you want ez GEs or best living conditions.

It is my opinion that even if you do like math/sciences, don't pick Revelle. It's really intimidating when you're living with these extremely smart math/science people. Although it can be helpful, I would personally have felt so stupid about living there while every other person is a smart asian kid.

hope this helps

Warren is mostly engineers and they have a special GE system suited only for engin majors.

Thanks a lot for the EXTREMELY helpful information.

hahaha ucsdisway, revelle isn't so bad in terms of feeling stupid - it's a good crowd to be around =).

:)

actually...sixth dormng is not like shacks. although they look like cabins from the outside, the inside of the dorms are MUCH nicer than those in revelle and muir.
