Ranking The Schools Your Applying to

Rank all the schools that you are applying to in order of the one you want to go to the most to the one you want to go to the least. Mine, for example:

St. Paul's

Groton

Concord

Milton

Loomis Chaffee

Westminster

Governor's

Essentially, the schools you like the most...

Don't rank schools your not applying to please.

St. Paul’s

Episcopal

Guys, a word of advice. This is not a good thread. You don’t want one of your schools to see your list, realize they’re not your priority, and reject you. They might be able to identify you based on other information you’ve posted, and hold your Internet identiy against you.

I could argue that the admissions committees don’t have the time or patience to try and figure out who’s who on CC, especially when it’s this late in the admission’s process. Believe me, the admissions officers at my school look like they need two-week vacation. BADLY.

I think I’m really easily identifiable on these forums, but all the schools I’m applying to have like 1.5k applicants. Even if an admissions officer were to read around, I really doubt they would take the time to match me up indefinitely to my application. There’s a high risk because if they do make a mistake or one detail doesn’t match up, they could be denying the wrong guy. I also emailed a few schools and straight up asked if they read around, they said they check Facebook and that’s usually it. Though I still wouldn’t go around parading your first and last name, home address, and you know, stuff like that.

Just think-- risk/reward ratio in terms of this thread.

Perhaps it is wiser to have it after March 9th when people have acceptances in hand and can speak with each other as to where they might go–now that they have the opportunity to do so.

Better reward, and no risk.

i cant delete this post anymore! im scared that some of these schools will come and see this and because I didnt apply to all GLADCHEMMS, I’m sure they might remember me and not accept me if their near the bottom when really, I would be overjoyed to go to any of them

Don’t worry about it too much dennis. I learned from my mistakes too. I’m not gonna post anything else too personal. etondad is right. I’ve made some acquaintances around the forums with people that I would love to be friends with, but hold off on personal info until after March 10th

This is easy.

Groton

I wouldn’t be too sure about your rankings if you’re still to see the school. My list turned completely upside down when I did. This was my list after my exams at the schools, when I didn’t get tours:

Westminster

Habadasher Aske’s

North London Collegiate School

Wellington

To this, after the interviews and tours:

Westminster

Wellington

NLCS

Habadashers

@pxalaska : why would you say that you are easily definable. Are you an under water basket weaver or something crazy like that

The underwater basketweaver never gets old…

Lets not do this. There have been so many of these threads already. Wait until M9 guys.
