How does UC Irvine compared to other UC's for Poli Sci and Economics, and International Studies major? Trying to decide on a college.

All I know is for Economics, the UC heirarchy is basically:

UCB
UCSD
UCLA
UCD
UCSB
UCI

I don't know about PoliSci or I-S

Not sure about International Studies but UCI might be good for poli sci considering it's their largest major..

Make sure you take poli sci classes with Schonfeld and Danziger.

poli sci in sd is the highesttt.

what's the ranking for pre-med??

pre-med goes like this

ucla
ucb
ucsd
uci

ucsb,ucd,ucsc,ucr

UCSD is kicking some serious ass. UCSD should go higher soon ;]. I'm pretty sure UCI should be on the same level as UCD...

where did you get your pre-med rankings?

Who even ranks pre-med?

It's probably by the biological sciences department or something. I never recalled a pre-med ranking though. Some things may be obvious, but they are all great schools =P.

is uci's economics major that low in rank campared to other uc's. i've been back and forth with uci and cal poly slo for weeks now. i dont know which is better for economics. i want to go into business.. but uci doesnt have one for undergrads.. but i heard they will in 2007. it's realli down to the wire now.. may 1st is so soon.. i'm about to just SIR to uci just so i dont have to think about this anymore..

You don't have to major in econ (or business) to go into "business". What is "business" anyway? Basically you want to get an office job where you make a lot of money, right? Major in whatever you want, take a couple of management classes, and do some internships over the summer.
