UCSD vs. UCI for business/economics

So I was accepted to Davis, Irvine, and San Diego. I think I am interested in business, economics, finance, within those lines.

I pretty much eliminated Davis, and it is either San Diego or Irvine. I read that both have strong science programs, but what about business/economics? Any suggestions?

San Diego is an amazing campus, educationally. They have an excellent reputation in the business world for undergrad research, etc. Irvine, is less prominant. BUT, if you are looking for the "college experience", go to Irvine. SD has hardly any campus life or buzz and I've found many there to be a little socially awkward / bored out of their minds. Once you leave campus as a freshman to live on your own, many move to SD, because La Jolla is too expensive, etc.

Food for thought.

I am a transfer student and am in a similar situation. My choices:

UC Irvine: Business Economics
UC San Diego: Economics

I'm torn between the two. Any input?

Hey, I am an econ./ buss econ student too, and I just got UCSD and UCI, anyways, what the other person said is BS. UCI is very very dead, I would know, I live 1 min away from it, there is one thing that I do not have as much knowledge about the UCSD life but then again UCI is very very dead, anyways, UCSD's econ program I know is way better than UCI's, for one thing, UCSD's econ is head to head and even some say better than UCLA's where as UCI is no where near either. the other thing is UCI just started bussiness econ this year but UCSD has no business econ. OVER all I would say UCSD by far.

also, UCI is in irvine, which is where I am which is dead as hell, nothing to do UCSD might be socially dead to some but others might disagree, look at the economics program at UCSD, rated top 10, wierd isnt it? ididnt even know that, if you two guys are serious about school then UCSD by far, and if you are ok with school and want life, I would say visit both campuses to see which one you both (burusteph and j4y_7) like more, for me I want to get the hell out of irvine, away from UCI, for you guys u might feel different
