<p>So much for the 1-in-5 mantra. The rate among college students is actually less than 1 in 100! And apparently, college students are slightly safer from rape and sexual assault than the population at large.</p>

<p>We should all get our daughters at least some training in the martial arts before they go off to college.</p>

<p>this is not surprising. The famous 1 in 5 “stat” just doesn’t make any sense.</p>

<p>I doubt it’s only girls getting raped. They may be the majority, but I’m sure it happens to guys too.</p>
