Although I'm done as done can be with the essay, I haven't had anybody else read it. It is the common app essay. prompt: discuss someting of local, national, or internation concernt (paraphrased). If someone could just read it over and say:"horrid, bad, fair, good, great,or excellent" It would put my mind mind at rest over it.

Thanks,
Derek

Finally! i found a guy who uses his real name onCC

yeah...i'll read it...btw ive said it brfore like a 1000times...please don't swap essays among RD's...its a ticket to trouble...send it to someone who's already at a university (here thats spanks, sparticus...) or if ur absolutely sure, an EDer

hmmm...from my Join Date...it shows...July 2005, thast WAY after all admission processes were over for class of 2010...and i'm not that generous to not avail the valuable service of CC when i was a high schooler and then make it my regular haunt during college

put 2 and 2 togather and visit Who's woh of Cornell ED 2010, Pg 3 or 4...and u'll get ur answer

error, in line 2, i meant class of 2009

Lol. I see. Well, Thank you SO very much. It makes me extremely more hopeful for cornell acceptance knowing there are people like the CC-ers at Cornell...both other hopefull and helpfull people, like you Arjun.

I did not have that prompt for the Common App. Did I completely miss something?

Nevermind. I picked "topic of my choice" for that section. Did anyone else pick this?

I put my essay in paragraph form, but when I copied from Word and pasted it into the textbox, it came out as one big paragraph. I forgot to change it. Do you think this will hurt me? I thought it was a pretty well written essay.

Well . . my essay would KIND of fit in the "based on personal experiences, why would a college. . ." topic, but I checked the Topic of your choice thing.

This was what hte common app said:
