  • Extra curricular: Marching Band- took up all of MP1, Sci Oly (My team is very competitive)- took up nearly all of MP2, Planning on Volunteering in Summer, Planning on taking BIO SAT in august

1= wasted freshman year, no chance at good college
10=Good shot at Ivy League if I keep it up/maintain it

depends on what classes you took. if mostly honors, then it is alright. if it is mostly regular classes, you should have 4.0

You have a number of posts looking for affirmation that you have had a good freshman year. IMO it is pretty much a worthless exercise at this very early point… I recommend that your focus over the next year and a half be on doing the best you can in the most challenging curriculum you can manage, becoming involved in ECs you enjoy, studying for standardized tests when appropriate, and enjoying HS life. When you are a junior it will be time to assess your academic record, ECs, etc. and come up with an appropriate list of colleges. I’d recommend you stay off of CC until that time.

I agree. The time you waste making these useless threads can be spent boosting your GPA or ECs, if you really care that much about those at this point. Just have fun and enjoy high school!
