I’m not rating it because I don’t believe in ratings - every case is different. My only question for you is this - is this the most rigorous schedule that you think you can handle? If not, I’d suggest changing your U.S History Honors course to an AP History course (if possible). If the schedule is about the most you think you can handle, stay with it - you do not want to overdo yourself and have bad grades overall.
Ratings only make sense in the context of the colleges you’re considering. For UNCG or William Paterson, it’s superb. For UNC CH or UVA, it’s weak. For Pomona or Wellesley, there better be explanations as to why you’re not in APUSH and Foreign Language 3 or 4.
Note that you need to have a foreign language (you’ll need one year each of English, Math, Foreign Language, Social Science, and Science) and taking Algebra II before completing Geometry would make the class very very very difficult since math is sequential. If you want to take Algebra II in the Fall, take Geometry in the summer (many virtual schools or summer schools offer it) and replace that period with level 3, 4, or AP in foreign language.
(Just a note-- some schools’ math programs place Algebra II before Geometry, and at other places it’s not terribly hard to do so. There are many kids at my school who take the two classes simultaneously; I don’t think it would necessarily be a problem here.)
Instead of algebra 2 honors I will do AP spanish language and culture. I can take Algebra 2 honors and AP statistics my senior year.
Can you take Geometry Honors over the summer, Algebra2 during the year, and round out senior year with precalculus? That’s the sequence most selective colleges would expect.
Do you have Spanish 4H?
My school allows you to skip Alg2 if you preform very well in geo honors. Do you have that option?
Is it bad if in my senior year I take ap statistics instead of precalculus? Do colleges like ap stats better since it is AP?
I won’t be able to take geometry during summer. I can probably take algebra 2 after my junior year during the summer then I’ll have precalc and ap stats
Lol why do you assume that you don’t deserve a rating of less than 5
Tell us how many APs your school offers and how many you’ve taken so far. Then we MIGHT be able to make a fair judgement.
Well Im not taking algebra 2 honors and IMA take AP spanish and then there is AP us history they have but I put honors
Take AP US History over Honors. It looks better.
Precalculus is a “core” class, AP Stats is only a complement. You can take it alongside Precalc, not “instead of” it.
What about takng Geometry online over the summer, if your school doesn’t offer it? It’s the easiest math class to take over the summer (compared to Algebra 2).
The thing is I plan to go to college out of country and taking the AP test won’t qualify if I pass it or not but it will boost my GPA which is 2.8 weighted and 2.7 unweighted. Yes, I messed up on sciences and math my freshman year and science which was chem my sophomore year
Im not really a history buff also tbh but idk which I history I should do?
