I read somewhere that at Rice people tend to stick to their own circles. I've been told that many Asians there tended to stick with Asians, many Hispanics with Hispanics, many Jews with Jews, etc.

So is Rice really racially clique-ish?

My profile picture on Facebook consists of a few of my best friends at Rice. There are Indians, ethnic Asians, an international student from China, a Hispanic, an African-American, a couple Caucasians, etc. About half are female, people are from a variety of geographical areas, and several different religions are represented.

This is commonplace.

Rice is incredibly diverse, and everyone is open to hanging out with others, no matter what (even if they don’t know the others).
