I currently attend a very private Catholic university, that is not diverse at all. I was just wondering how truly "diverse" Rice is? Do certain ethnicities seem to stick together like they do over here? I know that Rice claims to be diverse, but I wanted to hear from students first hand.

yay! you were just like me last year :)
i was wondering the same thing b/c i absolutely love having friends that are different than me and rice totally has the atmosphere for you to make friends with whoever you want. it just blows my mind away when i notice how cohesive all these different types of people are compared to other universities!
i'm studying for a bio test right now so i can't give you a COMPLETE answer (i might add more to this later...) but rice is awesome and really does mean it when they say they are diverse.

Haha thanks simone902008 for taking time from your studying to answer though, hope you have time to come back and add more :)

But yeah, my current university is not diverse at all, and that was something I was really hoping to find in college. My high school was mostly all Latinos, and while I felt my time in high school was great, I was hoping for college to be more eye opening... but I guess that's what I get for going to a catholic university>.<
