ESPM 50AC - One of the easiest class on campus. Max out on extra credit, turn in homework and go to his review sessions and you'll get an easy A. A+, however, is actually pretty hard.

UGBA 10 - Very difficult class due to grading scheme. The major weeder for potential Haas students so this means competition is insane.

Note that this is my opinion. Robinson is a good, engaging lecturer. He's very enthusiastic and likes to get students involved during lecture. But he's extremely arrogant and an absolute dick. I think he could be that much more effective of a teacher if he could just lose the attitude.

Also, concerning the course, it's very interesting material. You should enjoy the stuff you learn and the discussions you have in section. But the exams and grading prevent the class from being perfect. Exams are multiple choice and seem to test on arbitrary material, and the papers seem to be arbitrarily graded as well. And because of the competition, you can't afford to lose too many points.

Yes, I like Robinson as a lecturer also. Robinson, the person is not the greatest guy ever. Course is great, lots of interesting stuff, but grading on class standing makes the class a lot worse than it should be. On another note, Banks is a terrible lecturer and her essay prompts are terrible.

GoldenBear, im taking ESPM 50 next semester, why do you say its hard to get an A+, and not just an A?

I heard A+'s are very easy in espm 50

For an A+ you need more than 1000 points in a 1000 point class. There is a cap of 75 points of extra credit so you need to score a 926 in the class to get an A+. It is very hard to get full points on the tests because they are subjectively graded by the GSIs and also because barely anybody studies or takes the class seriously.
