Rate On a scale of 1-10; 1 being worst and 10 being best

For general purposes, if Direct Hits was a 10 (don't argue about this, most people think so), what would this list be???

I cannot rate it because this is useless waste of time. maybe 0.045 of 10, if D.H is 10.

I actually used that very list and the only word from it that ever showed up on a test I took was “officious.” I was like, ha, lol @ ETS I know the exact definition of this “officious” word of yours; try again. If that list had a mind of its own, it would be officious.

Kidding! Those words are just good to know and might come up on future tests, so I’d say 6-7

The list you have posted will be fine and some of the words may show upon the SAT. There are other lists that have a track record (look at other CC posts) that have a much higher “hit” rate (words that actually show up on the SAT).

If you have memorized all the words in both volumes of DH this list would not be bad.
I give it a 6.5.

Wow. I use this exact list (Even today, just 4 hours ago). I love Sparknotes free prep advice and practice. I use it pretty much everyday for pretty much everything Sparknotes have on there site. I also use the 1000 word list too. I would rate it around 6-7. It is pretty decent. I found around 10-15 words on the Practice Test’s on the blue book (Over a span of 1-3 Practice tests) on the 250 word list. I found pretty much EVERY word in the 1000 word list in the practice test’s in the blue book.
