Ratings, Ratings, Ratings

I am a current freshman at Emory, and I just wanted to give you guys the story about some of our rankings.

As I said in another thread, Emory actually should have been rated 16th in the country instead of 20th, but wasn’t because the school misreported the alumni giving rate. We actually have a very good alumni giving rate (ranked somewhere in the teens among schools), though we were reported to be ranked somewhere in the 70s. For those of you who put a lot of emphasis on rankings, this is definitely something to take note of.

Our undergraduate business program was recently rated #5 in the entire nation by Business Weekly! This was a huge deal here, and should greatly increase the reputation of the program. This was the first time that undergrad programs had been ranked.

In conclusion, its a good time to be an Emory Eagle!

Great post, however, our Alumni giving ranking should have been 16th instead of 73rd, not the school's rank. The article in the Emory Wheel said it was unable to speculate what Emory's revised rank should have been. However, since only one point seperated Emory from 18th ND and Vanderbilt it is safe to say we would have at least been 18th.

Wow, you are right, I totally misread that (and I think a lot of people did because I have heard people discussing it!). Still good though...
