I want barnard!!!!!!!!! >;0 rawrrrr

and all of you to be in barnard with me, too! :)

aww that's nice me too! :)
31 more days . ugh . my heart is aching to find out .

hate how they only accept like 555 freshmens each year. anyways, so what are your ethnicities? I'm chinese american. :)

oh also, are you all from new york city? if not, have you visited barnard and what do you love about it? (just nosy)

Actually, they take about 1,200 students (class of 2012 they took 1,217) but only about 555 choose to go there.

Here's last years stats: Barnard College Admissions

But still, out of 4,200 (maybe more this year) that's not a lot!!

Ethnicity? Heh. I'm a half-Nova Scotian, half-Russian Jew from Texas. Diversity! Ahem. :P

Half Pakistani, half Malaysian Chinese from Texas too :D

I'm half Chinese, half Caucasian.

^^ Me too! The caucasian part is Irish. I think it's too bad that I've lost a lot of cultural stuff from living in America, though...

I had this idea for waiting. For each day of March, I'm going to assign an activity that I'm going to do instead of freaking out. Unfortunately, I'm going to probably still freak out. Haha.

I'm Haitian and part German. I live in Boston, and yes I've visited! I love the women and the sisterhood present among them! Its soo beautiful :)

Huzzahhhh, Texxasssss! We should do an Internet power fist-pump or something. :D

I'm part Italian, part Yugoslavian, part Austrian, and part German. I'm also someone with a Catholic mother and a Jewish father but who was raised Jewish and leans toward being agnostic. From Florida. SO DIVERSE!

I spent a month at Barnard over the summer and...I don't know how to even describe why I love it. It's just a perfect fit.

Also, its the month of truth, everyone. At midnight last night, I called one of my best friends to ask if it would help or jinx me to wear my Barnard sweatshirt every night from now until decisions and sleep with my brochures under my pillow. She told me not to do anything. I'm still kind of wondering.

I'm a Jew who leans atheist, so you're in good company. (And I was raised Orthodox, of all things.)

DON'T WEAR A HOODIE. I wore my Yale hoodie and got rejected while wearing it. It's a baaaad way to go. :(

Way to freak me out. I always keep a sweatshirt in the backseat of my car in case it starts raining or something. Two days ago, it started pouring while I was on my way to get my eyebrows done. The sweatshirt in the back of my car was the Barnard one. And I wore my Barnard shirt to school the other day. FML.

I don't know why, but I've suddenly started freaking out about this month. I need to find ways to stay busy. I thought I was starting to get used to the idea of going elsewhere if I'm rejected. I guess not.

Why would she wear a sweatshirt if it starts to rain? Don't you need a rain jacket/umbrella?

Well, not really. I usually wear hoodies because i can just put the hood on and it covers my head and it's fine. Umbrellas and rain jackets are usually big hassles. I haven't worn a rain jacket since I was maybe ten and I only use umbrellas if I'm going to be doing more than running from my car to a building...like if I have to walk a few blocks or something in the rain.

ooooh, to cover your head! got it. i was like sweatshirts are made of cotton, and cotton absorbs water...

I'm going to be on edge until I'm accepted or rejected. Then I'll either be elated or inconsolable. S'gonna be a loooong month. :}

squaregirl- I so agree. I just really don't want to get rejected. Like...I'm trying to get myself used to the idea of my second choice so that if I do get rejected, I'll feel better. I just really hope I get to go to Barnard. Ugh.

I just decided that the anxiety people should use the facebook group more because then we can post things like fun youtube videos and stuff to keep our minds off of Barnard that we can't post here.

Both my parents are from Sierra Leone, but I was born here. I'm also a teensy teensy bit Spanish, Indian, and British. diversity ftw!

I visited Barnard a year ago for one of those precollege things. I really really liked it!

I'm starting to feel the anxiety a little. But school keeps me pretty preoccupied so I can't obsess as much as I'd like too. Annnnd I started rewatching The O.C. just for kicks :D haha
