RD 2015 Admissions Info...:D

@ Icolee I received the mail from fedex on 23rd March at 1:55 AM (GMT +5:30).

Okay, since I made the not-so-subtle claim that your receipt (or non-receipt) of the FedEx e-mail is probably an indicator of the decision outcome, I will now eat a Frisbee and correct that by repeating the Admission Office’s clear and express position that you cannot draw any such conclusions:

^ Hehe, I might be partially responsible for that comment by the Admissions Committee. I wrote them an e-mail asking if I could safely assume they aren’t sending 1 lbs rejection plaques…

Definitely do take this with a grain of salt, but rejection waitlist letters from colleges (and Carleton as far as I remember from my friends’ experiences) are usually just a sheet of paper in an envelope, and possibly a small card for you to indicate whether you want to remain on the WL or not. Anything more or less heavy should mean the good news, but wait a bit more to confirm. Congrats to everyone who is already accepted, and especially to the international students – I hope to see you all here next year. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions specific to international students, would be happy to help!

Soooo I haven’t received anything yet. If I were to be denied, will the notification be sent with the same speed as acceptance letters, or do they not bother sending those first class?

Kinda figure I’d have gotten it by now, living a half hour away.

I’m seeing quite a few people on this board who were also waitlisted. I guess this is where everyone congregates to mourn?

@abZebras-- I have seen people on this forum who were accepted, waitlisted, and rejected. This indicates that all of the decisions were mailed out at the same time. Why you don’t have yours yet is a mystery, but I hope it arrives tomorrow with good news inside.

@oregonianmom
Alrighty. And thank you :)

Just received my Fedex package! It contained a dark blue file with a golden Carleton’s seal and in it contains the acceptance letter! Good luck everyone!

Wonders how long it will take to come to Thailand :)

Dang, its weird all these international students are hearing before I am…sad day :frowning: maybe tomorrow? :D

Yes, the fed-ex package (International in Europe) D rec’d was an acceptance. Very shocked and happy at such a wonderful opportunity. Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting to hear.

I just found out that I am accepted!!! My hunch was right. The 0.5 kg weight on the Fedex website indicates acceptance!!

and WHEN am I gonna get my FED EX E-MAIL??? xD

@ Drelnis Lol I think only a portion of the admissions letters are sent by Fedex. Many are sent by USPS.

@suhast I’m intl’ I live 8000 miles away from Carleton xD I’m totally getting FedExed :)

I’m international but I have not receive any tracking no. and no parcel until now… :(

I’m an international as well and I haven’t received any tracking information either! I got a call from FedEx yesterday but that was regarding another college. The admissions committee did say on their blog to not “assume anything about your admissions decision until you receive that admissions decision,” but it is a bit nerve-racking :|

As far as I am aware not all international decisions are FedEx’ed (I think some are sent using USPS express mail?) so try waiting for now and see what happens. Good luck! :)

The wait is excruciating!!
