My letter basically says "Congratulations...blah...blah...Normally, admissions letters are mailed in late March, but in your case, we wanted you to know early." So if you didn't get one yet, don't worry at all, I'm sure many more are coming in the mail either this week or in late March/early April. I'm not sure if I'm going to the Swarthmore weekend...I've been invited to three already and I still have to hear from 5 more schools! Eek

Sending out hearty congradulations to everyone who's been accepted!

I just got my letter this afternoon and it definitely made my day.

Tennisace3: My SAT score was only in the 2100s and I just got in so I'd definitely keep hope alive.

Oo, guys scared me, gotta let us know they were early writes. I thought regular decisions were already out...but now I know for me this definitely changes, well, nothing. After getting deferred I had no expectation of an early write.

Anyways, congrats to all who got the early writes! Guys gotta be pretty qualified.

NJPitcher, you are also very qualified! Good luck, and I hope you hear positive news very soon.

Congratulations to all those who have been accepted! Hang in there, all of you still waiting to hear.

Interesteddad, have things been busy in the Admissions Office getting those early write letters out? :)

What is the postmark dates of your acceptances?

Do you think most people will hear shortly?

is an early write

My envelope's postmark date is 3/14

When do you guys think that the early writes will stop coming? I don't want to stare at my mailbox for too many days.

i just got mine today, if that at all helps.

Have any international applicants from CC received early writes yet?

Nope, I havent ;)

I'm dying here.

Congrats to all you lucky folk!

One small question. Did anyone get an early write who had not already visited the campus? Just curious.

i didn't visit campus...

congrats jli2006 ,

i just got one from swarthmore yesterday...im excited, but i have to visit the campus to see if i like it...I already got into Dartmouth, and im still waiting for Princeton...basically Dartmouth, swarthmore, and princeton are my top 3 choices...campus visits and financial aid packages is gonna determine my fate...haha this whole college business is so stressful and on top of that i've got AP exams to start studying for. i am happy that u got into swarthmore becuz everyone who graduates there are genuinely one of the best that America has to offer...it is a very difficult school, but it def is worth it

Thanks for the info!

:-p I had just a little over 2100, didn't visit the campus, and didn't register in time for an interview; so i wouldn't worry. I do love Swarthmore very much though!

ariganjoye: Ride the Tide, the Swarthmore visiting weekend for accepted students is a great event, my son liked it, and they were nice to parents driving their students there, although we all quickly left. I did see a large contingent of acceptees coming on campus from the airport and train stations with their sleeping bags, and they looked pretty happy. It seems like that weekend is a good introduction to Swarthmore.
