according to dartmouth's website the RD acceptance rate will be lower than 12%!!!

so scary!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!!!!
That is such bad news. :(:(:(:(:(

My chances just divided themselves by 18. :(

o.m.g

this is really depressing...

And what does Dartmouth think of all this...

Their response..."We're delighted"

It's great to know that they are anxiously awaiting april so they can shatter our dreams.

(like the alliteration above, anyone?)^

Ugh. How cruel. :(

oh my ****ing goodness..asfsdafa

*sigh

there's nothing we can do now but hope for the best...

the serenity prayer helps me to stay calm:

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things i can not change
the courage to change the things that i can
and the wisdom to know the difference

kyushu.com/gleaner/editorspick/seppuku.shtml

that means they must've made a lot of money...gosh $75 for reviewing our applications.

12% i can't just believe that! that makes me feel even more depressed...

They made nearly one million dollars off our applications! Those fiends...

The least they could do is just accept us. :p

I think with all the money they make off admissions fees they could build an identical college next door...call it Dartmouth 2 or Dartmouth Dos or something...and DOUBLE the acceptance rate to a whole 24%!!

Maybe then we'd have a chance.

but then they'll have to double the number of their professors.

Yet, i really like your idea. it's very CREATIVE. i hope that's what Dartmouth is looking for.

I always wished Dartmouth had a satellite campus in the carribean or maybe just San Diego. How cool would that be!

that would be cool

Good Luck everyone, keep the faith!

oh yes...Dartmouth + sunny weather and beach....I would soil myself. I don't know about the rest of you...but I'm no fan of snow and cold, but D's worth it.

I wish I wrote an essay about Dartmouth 2

god. kill me. kill me now.

LOL candi at first when you said "Serenity prayer" I thought to myself, "SERENITY NOW!" --George's dad on Seinfeld

but HEY guys look at it this way. 12%...that's right around Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Columbia. I didn't bother applying to Princeton and Harvard, one of the reasons being b/c there was no point in applying to a school with such a low acceptance rate. Now that D is down there...maybe I won't feel as bad if I get rejected, knowing that it was so much harder to get in this year?

If Dartmouth's RD acceptance rate is 12%, you can expect Harvard, Yale, and Princeton's to be more like 5-8. What rotten odds.

Joey

That's not automatically true "just because" Dartmouth has 12, so Harvard Yale and Princeton have nothing better to do than lower it to 5-8...it depends on a lot of factors.
