RD Acceptance Reply Form---Intended Major?

I originally wanted to do Romance Languages (still do) and that was what my essay was about. My second choice was Economics. My mother, however, has piqued my interest in Public Health ("Since you're going to JHU and all...") Would it be inappropriate to put both Romance Languages and Public Health as intended majors?

Probably not. Since you don’t have to actually choose a major until the end of your sophomore year.

they don’t care about what you put into intended major form. All arts and sciences students are classified as pre majors anyways until they declare their major at the end of freshmen yr.

does intended major matter for engineering? cause there are two intro to engineering courses freshman year that depend on what major your taking

Well… BME I’m guessing it def. matters… everything else I’m told is fine since you don’t declare a major until later—I called admissions they said I could put both haha.

For engineering, you’re actually assigned a faculty advisor based on your intended major towards the end of the summer (at least that’s how it used to be), so it does matter what major you indicate. Still, it’s really easy to change majors and get a new advisor assigned
