RD Alumni Interview

To fellow RD Applicants:

Have you all already been contacted by an Alumni Interviewer?
Has anyone not been contacted? I am getting nervous because I've been contacted at almost every other school I applied to but not Harvard. I know not everyone gets contacted, but it still seems advantageous to have an interview...

Don’t worry. I haven’t been contacted either. Different alumni will contact applicants at different time. For my Princeton interview for Early Action, my interviewer contacted me two weeks after other people at my school had their interviews. Remember: they have till the middle of February to submit their report…

Depending on where you’re located, some interview reports may be accepted through the beginning of March, when full committee meets. Ideally they’re in before that of course…since you hope the report is not considered as an afterthought…

Only just got contacted today, so don’t worry

Same. Just got contacted last night, so don’t worry

Hadiram: It’s something outside of your control – you might get an interview, you might not. To “worry” about it is wasted energy and emotion. Period.

Are international applicants screened before being given an interview? No interview means rejected?

No offer of interview does not mean you’re rejected.
