Institutional DOCumentation Service (IDOC)

Beginning late January, (IDOC) will send you an email requesting the following documentation from parents (and stepparents):

* Parents' and student's 2010 federal tax return, all pages and schedules
* Parents' and student's 2010 federal W2 wage statements and 1099 statements (if any)

I was wondering the same thing. I sent in my CSS and FAFSA about 3 weeks ago, but haven’t received any email from IDOC–which is how one is supposed to receive the account password, i think.

Check your original email from IDOC. My son received an email back in early February from IDOC and it had requests from several schools one of which was SC. Maybe you missed it on that email that said “your next steps for financial aid” later on in the email it showed a list of schools that requested your idoc info.

College Board will send you a link with the information about the IDOC. Are you sure Swathmore requires the IDOC. D1 appied to a few schools and some of the schools required the IDOC and of course others did not. The schools that require the IDOC do not want you to send your Parents 2010 Federal Tax return and w-2’s to them. Here is the link https://idoc.collegeboard.com

I would contact Swarthmore right away. My notes say they wanted our 2010 return by 2/10/11, and given that ours could not be completed, they requested that I send them a draft by 2/10 with the original to go to IDOC as soon as it was ready. We sent the final 2010 return to IDOC late last month.

i sent my financial info directly to swarthmore, like they wanted. they said you could do either/or. so i sent my end of the yr paycheck stub and the other tax forms directly to their office.
