carpe_diem you must have nearly died writing all those essays!

Are all the girls on here applying to Wellesley? That seems to be the case here.

carpe_diem you must have nearly died writing all those essays!

Are all the girls on here applying to Wellesley? That seems to be the case here.

I also applied to smith, fordham, and hampshire. I am going to smith!

h2Online: apps weren't TOO bad. just the non-common app ones were tedious.. and all those supplements! i'm still not done yet though : (

nyu is about my 3rd choice, my first is probably boston college or middlebury. i also am applying to babson, villanova, boston university, and ohio state.

first choice: columbia
second choice: nyu
third choice: georgetown

so weird. i'm appling to wellesley as well! i think i'd prefer wellz to nyu...

risingsakura, why would you chose wellesley over nyu? Are there any particular reasons? I'd like to know cause if by chance I do get accepted to both of those schools, I want to choose the right one for me. They are both very good schools...but in different ways though.

I don't seem to have the same credentials as many people in this thread. I'm applying to NYU along with...

McGill (Top choice)
Binghamton (already accepted)
U Maryland
Boston U
U Delaware
Hamilton
Oberlin (don't really know why I applied)
Bucknell
Lafayette
Union
Skidmore
Franklin and Marshall
Dickinson

I'm only able to apply to so many schools because, alas, my father makes a lot of money...

the person who asked me why wellesley:

it was a spontaneous thought at the moment. my naive reasons:
1.it's near boston
2.it has a gorgeous campus

i think it's even more prestigious than nyu?

Concerning prestige, Wellesley was a few notches above NYU. Now, I'm not so sure. NYU is rated America's #1 dream college on USNEWS. Do you prefer Boston over NYC? Personally, I prefer NYC over Boston. As for Wellesley's campus, YES I def agree :) I think I could be more academically focused at Wellesley than at NYU. I don't mind the impersonal teacher-student relationship at NYU though. Do you think there's more opportunities for internships and jobs at NYU or Wellesley? That's what I'm concerned about since Wellesley is in a suburban area.

I've heard that NYU's financial aid packages are rather unfortunate. . .
and on that note;

Harvard (EAdeferred)
Brown (April, we shall see. . . )
Duke (regD)
NYU !!!
UGA (in)
Emory (in)

I've applied to:

Carnegie Mellon (rejected EDI, reapplied RD)
UPitt (deffered...which is a joke)
Allegheny College (accepted)
Univ of Rochester
Univ of Illinois (why? I do not know lol)
Bucknell Univ
RIT
Purdue
UMich
Gettysburg College

and NYU at last min. :)

h2online, i think there's a good science program at wellesley but im not that sure.. i got stuff about their depts in the mail so i just applied. and besides, amazzinnggggg campus, even if the school's allgirls. haha atleast there's boston! i MIGHT lean a bit towards wellesley (although i would def choose city life over wellz) bc of their student teacher ratio (i loveeeee small ratios)

h2online, there's no doubt more internship opps in nyc...

i don't know what are we worrying about here. it's not april yet. I just hope to get into one of my dream schools. it'd suck if i got rejected by both wellesley and nyu. but acceptance to my other schools would be sweet, too. i have way too many dream schools that might reject me.

Ha same here. Im probably going to crack in April. Watch me get rejected to both. I have only one back up school, which is Purdue. I'm pretty much screwed if I don't get into W or NYU. Oh damn well. This is life. Sorry for being pessimistic pple.

upenn
uchicago
uc berkeley
ucla
mgcill
trinity
harvard
columbia
umich
st. andrews
edinburgh

i applied to penn ed and got deferred... we'll see what happens. now that i have had the chance to reconsider whether penn is my first choice, i realize that i'd be happy at most of these schools!

Courtney, since when can you reapply R.D. to CMU if you're rejected E.D.? And why would you? Chances are usually higher to get in Early than Regular anyway.

I always thought of NYU as a mere dream for me until I got contacted by the swim coach who mysteriously found out about me and is interested in me. Now NYU has to be my top choice, it's tied with USC right now though. Also applied to Ohio State (accepted, good business program), UC- Irvine, Davis, LA, and San Diego.
Gosh.... if these admission decisions could come faster!!

CMU has different colleges within the school. I applied pretty much to their second toughest college and got rejected in EDI. So this time around, I applied to their 3 other colleges that I was also interested in too, that are a little less tougher to get into.

UVA
Binghamton
Dartmouth
